Ok who is the Author, is he here? We all know who the 2 Wind owner is that has done over 200k miles. Great bit of advertising for us. The only thing he didn't mention is this wonderful Forum... maybe he isn't a member because he never mentioned the meets either. I'll forgive him for the slip with the numbers it means we are even more rare.

An interesting read - the Wind is going to be very collectable in years to come - its a great little car and fairly cheap to run - gets my vote every time. Laughing

Please don't tell me that I will be scared of driving. But he is treasured.

Is that article composed entirely of posts on our Forum?!

Re prices, the other day there were 61 Winds for sale on Autotrader and that has now dropped to about 50 and the average asking price is about £4,100. Be interesting to see how that changes on the next few years.

Interesting BUT:

What standard is the reviewer applying re driveability?

The MX5's I've driven seemed pretty taut to me & whilst the Wind is a Roadster not an out & out sports car "flat as a XXXX" I don't think so!!

Does anyone know what the "wind release mechanism" is mentioned in that article? Apparently it's located to the left of the air intake and removing it gives the engine more "bite"... sounds interesting!

This is the "bung" on the side of the air filter box that can be removed to enhance intake sounds.

Available only on 1.6s

There is a thread on this site about it under Induction Flap/Plug
