My roof wont open
Hi all,
Just tried to open my roof today. Boot flap opens up.
Can hear the roof trying to pull open. Its like its stuck on the open roof handle above my head. Feels like its stuck together and its have trouble opening. as if the rubber seal is sealed together.

Rubber seal grips like glue when not used.

Re: My roof wont open
yeah it needs a solid tap then - panic set-in as I have the spanner warning light showing on display but I presume this is simply because its not opening in time on the sequence. Might have to get talcum powder on the seal.

Re: My roof wont open
I had the panic of the spanner couple of years ago just before the International meet in France. Roof wouldn't complete the cycle. Had to use the magic key. The garage I use spent ages watching the cycle. It was dirt in the hinges at the back of the boot. It lifts up then moves backwards/forwards slightly, blast of compressed air and a bit of grease sorted it. I was dreading being the only Wind that couldn't go topless....

Re: My roof wont open
Clean and lubricate roof seals with some proper rubber lubricant not stuff like Vaseline etc, just done ours cost less than £10 .Also protects against elements.

Thanks! all good and lubed up. As it was my first winter with the wind I was worried it was something worse and didn't want to force it! Cheers

Thanks for this post! I just was terrified I had to bring my Wind to the garage when the roof opened only half. Good idea I went here first!
