Looks like yours are mounted slightly further out than mine. See pic on left.
Probably because I used adhesive strips to fix mine which need a flat surface.
Where yours are is slightly curved so I guess the fitter did a proper job with screws or bolts.
Not only enhances the look but also a great safety feature.

Yes he used self tappers lol, very pleased with the overall result
