Squeal when moving in traffic Empty Squeal when moving in traffic

My Wind has developed an annoying intermittent squeal when moving slowly in traffic, so only hear if crawling in first/second gear and sometimes if coasting too (not in gear).
Have taken it to dealer to investigate but they couldn't replicate noise of course. Have taken a video of it happening so can demonstrate to them, but anyone else experienced anything similar?

Dust or dirt on the discs? If so braking hard from speed should sort it.

A generic solution, not just for the Wind...

Another cause of squeal and/or constant ticking from car disc brakes is the metal guard behind the discs, as stones or sticks and even flaky rust from the disk edges can get in and cause noise.

The solution is to bend back the metal guards a bit, and make sure foreign objects are cleaned out.

Also if you have the wheel off, look at the perimeter edge thickness of the disk and see if it has flaky rusty edges, (usually a car has to get to five years old before this happens) and wear goggles and a mask and use a large flat head screwdriver to shear off the flaky rust, then use an emery block round the perimeter to clean it smooth. (make sure you do not damage disc face).
