Lotto now a con
The national lottery has now added 10 balls to the lotto draw, from 50 to 60, making the odds horrendous.
Its went from 14 million to 1, now to 40 million to 1.
To put it in perspective you now have more chance of being struck by lightning than winning the lottery
I used to buy two tickets for the draw, but now just going to get one.

I think it's 50-59.
The lottery always has been a tax on the stupid. Why pay a 50% tax on top of having already paid your income tax on the stake?

Likely many will boycott it, but will eventually come back, as I assume Camalot (the lottery owner) has coldly calculated this out.

Yep, started buying them lotto tickets again.
I am a fool, as you have 'got to be in it to win it' they say, and this is me talking 20 years later still waiting to win it

Getting some petrol on Wednesday I succumbed to the quadruple rollover and bought a few tickets. I haven't checked them yet on the basis that for as long as I don't look they might be winners.

As long as you do not go by six months or it all goes to good causes instead of you
I found some forgotten tickets in a drawer and they were just within the above date, but did not win anything on them anyway.
