Does anyone know whats the Max RPM you can take the wind to? And when does the change gear light displayed?

You can't over-rev the engine on the throttle as it has a limiter. It's generally a couple of hundred revs above the red line, painted on the rev counter.
As for the change light, the only time I've seen it, is on track, and then I was concentrating on the track and changing gear, I'm afraid.
Why the question Monkey?

Well I was pulling away today in 1st gear and was only around 5500 revs and it felt like the engine was hitting the rev limit (lose of power) and i thought i saw the light flash on. I wouldnt have thought 5500 revs would have been the limit

Re: Maximum RPM
No, it's not. I've just been out to check, and the red line is at 6500 revs. I'm not sure the cars are sophisticated enough, but it could be that if the engine hasn't been on long, it could have a lower rev limit until the engine warms properly.
You shouldn't need 5500 revs to pull away - you speed demon.

Re: Maximum RPM
Araf you are right it appears the engine limits the revs to 5500 until it warms up.

Re: Maximum RPM
if you want to use even more revs perhaps the Superchips Bluefin engine tuning I've been having a look at is just the thing to use

Re: Maximum RPM
I wouldn't bother Darren, unless you have a turbo - and if that's the case, then your injectors will need replacing, as they will max out.
I tried a custom remap (twice), which are better than Bluefins, and the map reverted to standard. From what I understand, the Wind has a safety feature underwritten, which stops too much torque being produced, and prematurely wearing the clutch.

Re: Maximum RPM
Yes mine is the turbo - though good to know about the mapping as I had thought not worth it really. Decided a decent service and fresh sparks and filters the way to go
